Default Tired of these horrible events.

How ridiculous are these weekend events? Double XP from capping skills. Higher chance of getting dyes! This is a horrible way to keep players interested in the game until the expansion comes out. Why not just release another SF? Something new and exciting please. Oh yeah and Hard mode is a horrible new addition and its practically impossible to find groups. Hmm, wheres the auction house by the way? The only reason why i ever play anymore is because of Fort battles and Anet STILL has not balanced it. Come on Anet, get your act together.

The jibberish complaints seem to echo into eternity.

Just saying that shows you know nothing about games development. Sorrows Furnace was a very large undertaking for a free update, which is why it's the only time they ever did new areas for free (DoA was Nightfall content which wasn't finished at release time, it wasn't a free addition, you paid for it).

Get a better guild.

The use of BLOBS for database security means an auction house is damn hard to implement properly. So, without a complete database overhaul, we aren't getting one.

Fixed.

I think I saw them in a bloody pulp in a mudhole a lifetime back.

At least there are events. There are plenty of online RPG's with none at all.

I really can't believe so many people don't notice this. Most MMO's that have subscription fee's don't get as many events or even updates as Guild Wars, but people still find a way to moan and whine about it.

I for one am very grateful they've continued to support GW so much without trying to force a monthly fee or anything onto us.

waaaay too true...the events are a bonus...

If you're relying on events and extra content to keep you interested in the game...then perhaps this game isn't for you right now. Many of us enjoy the events and have goals we are working toward in the game that keep us interested in the game.

I've found that these events are quite useful actually, whether I'm trying to make use of this bonus purposely, or whether the opportunity just comes past. They also seem to help ArenaNet in certain ways, such as reducing overall item prices. When Sskai's sword was 20k, ArenaNet put a triple green drop weekend in Cantha. 3 days later, Sskai's was only 7k.

They make me happy, they make others happy, and they make ArenaNet happy. If you don't like free content, ignore the weekends.

ok, some of the events are a bit, well, you know.---bleh
Others are great....I found the double xp for skill capping great for my newest characters that seem to need about 100 skill points...
The triple dye, ok I LIKE it---I am hoping to get more black and white for mixes since those new characters want new armor that isnt grey.
Better green drops---ok too will have 10 new heros per toon to fix up when gwen comes out so that works for me as well.

the pvp ones dont interest me in the slightest since I havent nor ever will pvp.

I think the weekend events make the game a bit more interesting, just think about it....we sit here wondering what lame weekend event they will be concocting! (and what would you all be complaining about if we didnt have these, huh?) I am glad they show interest in trying to keep us playing, however; I do wish they would consider that there are people who work on weekends and arent able to game so miss out on these things....

It's not about you.

It's free, no one is forcing you upon everything :\ why the hell would you complain. It's like complaining a local shop gives away free ice cream because you dont like ice cream... others might like it, and the intention is good isn't it.

*throws troll a bone*

I tire of these petty half assed complaints that don't breach 50 words. Wheres your brain today?

*awaits for someone to wittily reply "like yours?"*

Please let you next thread be "why im not playing GW anymore"
You must not work for a living and I bet you would say your parents pool is bigger then my house? I like almost every change Anet brings into the game and I think thats why Anet have myself so hooked after 2yrs of play.Adapt and overcome.

GJ Anet for weeding out these complete tools.

We really don't allow rant threads on here...or at least not silly ones like these. Well thought out threads, that actually promote discussion are allowed to continue even with everybody flaming you.

You started a thread about these events which you don't like for some reason, but only have two sentences about that. The other two sentences are pointless and really don't belong in your opening statement.

Unless you really weren't planning on starting a discussion and just wanted to be a troll, which is what this looks like to me.
